I was diagnosed with PseudoTumor Cerebri with Glaucoma Oct 1998. I am currently unemployed, no health insurance, and out of medications for 3 months now. My medications cost me around $2000 per month without health insurance. The NC Dept of Human Services has not been able to help me because I own a townhouse - sad but true so Medicaid is out of the question since I no longer qualify. I have been trying to get disability through Social Security and that too has been denied. I am only 49 years old and have been trying to keep a job, but have been too ill with out meds. Any information would be very much appreciated. Thanks! Donna

I know what you mean about the Topamax! I'm on it too and it's very expensive. The generic topiramate became available in April. Is that possibly an option for you? (I know sometimes doctors advise against generics and I am not familiar with your condition... you might want to speak to your doctor.)
I could not find information on the Diamox Sequels. It looks like Diamox Sequels have been discontinued in the US. Do you take a generic or receive the medication from overseas?

Thank you for your help. I was actually purchasing the generic topiramate, but for a 30-day supply of 100 mg pills, it was still costing me a little over $200 without medical insurance. The Diamox Sequels cost me $731 per month as well not to mention other prescriptions I have to take, too. Since my health has been going downhill for the past few years, I am unable to hold a job for very long due to confusion, problems concentrating, and dislexia. I had contacted this company and they are willing to help me if my doctor contacts them about their program. Thanks again for your comment.
