Are you taking Benicar for high blood pressure?
The active ingredient in Benicar is olmesarten.
The Benicar HCT contains olmesarten and a diuretic. The diuretic is of benefit if you also suffer from fluid retention.
Your doctor is the best person to decide what is the best option for you as they are aware of your medical history and diagnosis etc.
Often it is trial and error before you find a medication that works well for you.
