Which have you found most beneficial?

I was on Lexapro which is the brand for citalopram i think, it worked great for anxiety with no side effects. I have tried sertaline (zoloft) but it was not a good fit for me. Never tried floexitine. Best of luck and God Bless

I take Effexor XR. I also took Lexapro for about 5 years and it worked well, then I started have panic attacks again so they switched me to Effexor about 4 years ago and it is doing very well for me. Best of luck

I tried several ones before I found one I liked. I take Pristiq, and am happy with it. Everyone is different though. I also take something for anxiety as well too though. I hope you find something that works for you, and I wish you the best of luck. Ruth

The real answer to your question is going to be what your body chemistry is made up of. There are a lot of anxiety medications available but how they react to different people is another question. I have not personally tried Fluoxetine, but I have been on sertraline (Zoloft) , Zoloft and my body just did not agree, it made me a totally different person whom I did not know, it made me cry and be depressed and it caused me all kinds of digestive tract problems, therefore when I went to the doctor especially to talk about meds I specifically told him and his nurse that refuse to take anymore Zoloft. The drug works well for some people, I am not one of them.

hi linje, Citaprolam is the generic for Celexa. Lexapro is the second generation of Celexa. Celexa has been around for a very long time. I toook it low dose for 12 years and no side affects. Tried Lexapro and it was a completely different animal, didn't like it. Wellburtrin does too many things.
I recommend starting a low does of Citapolam (sp) generic for Celexa, like 10 mg. thats all I ever took and it was great,
