Hi runnermom,
I'm very happy for you!! Only the brave, the determined go off subs and do it with aplomb! You won!! Not everyone has the b@lls to do it, but you did! To know you may feel icky for a while, and do it anyway speaks volumes on your character!!
Hope you win your marathon, or at least accomplish your goal !!

You go, girl!
I am so happy for you! And I so need to hear your story of success as all I have been hearing lately are horror stories when coming off Suboxone.
Have a great time on your marathon and enjoy it as much as you can. It is not always about winning.
keep rockin' girl!
Hey neighbor Pledge!
Oh yeah! George said it would!
It's supposed to be 38 with 20 mph winds at the start and it's in Jacksonville, FL!! That first hour on the beach into the N winds is gonna be rough! Only supposed to be a high of 58 and that's after noon! I hope to be finished by then! Will have to bundle up for this one! Man! I coulda ran one up North for this kind of weather, eh?

Hi there RM... always good to hear from you. I always get inspired when I hear from you and report how long it is now off subs. I also get inspired when I hear that you are excelling in your sport. Good luck to you tomorrow. Run free... free and clean my dear dear girl... hugs and love to you... and God Bless... pup
wow! what a run! Mind you, it was 15 degrees with the wind chill(20 MPH) at the start..the coldest marathon start I have ever experienced..but I had a PR! 4 hours 16 min and change..8th in my age group out of 424! I have been resting all week and ready to get back to the trail. It's supposed to rain here over the weekend, so Monday might have to be my new start day. Next race is June 23 in Milwaukee. Thanks for all your support my friends!!

If anyone out there is reading this you MUST know that the horror stories should not stop you from acheiving your goal. Gosh..if that was true I would never have run my first 5k! Pain is part of life and it's how we learn to deal with it in the end that makes us who we are. I don't regret starting the sub back in 2005,. I needed that to get me off pain meds..but I am glad I am free of it now. w/d is temporary..I PROMISE. Always take one step or one day at a time..seek help from those who UNDERSTAND you and keep on trying. Remeber..oatmeal is better than NO meal!
love yourselves!!! and please,forgive yourself!!!
HUGS all
will touch base after the race!
