MaeRena88I was given a 10 panal urine test in Nov. at my dr appt. & he took majority of my meds away saying the reason was bc i had suboxone in my system, which until that day i hadnt ever heard of it before & didnt even know what it was used to treat now ive been told by multiple ppl that are perscribed it that you have to take a specific urine test for it to show. So im needing help on where to go to get good sources to show to him that it couldnt have showed when i go to my next appt in 2 weeks
Where can I go on the web that is definate proof that suboxone only shows on a specific urine test?

Welcome to the site, you could try contacting the manufacturer by going to the suboxone.com website. The company designed it to only test positive as bupenorphine. I tried reading your post a couple of times, to try and make sure exactly what you mean. It is true it only test positive for buprenorphine, but they may have included that panel on your test, especially if you are using a pain managment dr, they often test for bupe. There are 3 major ways that false negatives and positives occur, bad test kit, human error in the reading of the test and accidental test switch with wrong patients urine. I tested positive for it according to one test, before i ever used it, and the reader was reading the test from above it, when she sat it down and got eye level, it was negative. If you are using a pm dr, have them test you a second time if you get a false positive, ask that it be sent to a lab this time. Patti

Does Cephalexin show up in a drug test?

Patti, does Suboxone show up in hair follicle tests? Could she prove it that way? UNbelievable, and very inept and uncaring pm doc!! I really feel for you!!

Oh ive been furious this happened a week before Thanksgiving i demanded a blood test done & never heard back it isnt a pain management its a physco doc. I was perscribed adderall & xanax I never got to see the test & never got to talk w/doc again they gave me a appt which is in 2 weeks so i wanna have my ducks in a row showing & proving that they r lien about it!! & biggest thing is id like to know why they would say i failed for sub. when i swear on my kids life IVE NEVER TAKEN IT or even knew what it was until that evening!!!

If you have a printer, print this out and hand it to the doc!! GRRR! I would be fighting mad as well, I don't blame you!! I would demand a hair follicle test, if it would show subs!

yes subs shows in hair. I think, I don't know, but I think some drs may have to limit how many patients are on specific meds in their practices, and some know that rx opiate pain meds are being closely scrutinized and it is difficult to find a dr who will write an opiate and a benzo to the same person, as both slow the breathing. If this dr is NOT a pain management dr, he may have had to reduce how many patients he has on those meds. Pain management drs are even limited I think, because of pressure from malpractice insurance rates and the government watch dogs. This is an opinion not fact, but we have seen people complain they were told this by their drs. Sounds like a bad test kit to me, but also could be bad read, human error, too. If this dr is a suboxone provider, he had the test kits that show it on one of the 10 panels. There are bad kits, believe me, but hard to Iprove, would have had to send that same sample to the lab to prove it.
Well i went back to this same doctor last Tues. which was the next appt he gave me since all went down in Nov. This appt he sent me to the Hospital to get a Urine Drug screen & took blood to check my Thyroid level... I guess he thinks im stupid but he hasnt ever had anything to do w/my thyroid checkings or doctoring he jus knew i had issues w/them years ago & this time nothing excpet my nerve med & anti depressant showed up on drug screen but ONCE AGAIN he didnt give me my adderall back which i was perscribed 30 mg 3x's a day for over a year until Nov & thats when the Sub showed up in my uruine & i demanded blood test then but it was never given to me! This appt I told him not only had i gone thru DTs from my meds I was also becoming my old self that had 100 things goin at once etc... & his reply was "lets see how you r within next couple months & we'd see bout gettin my adderal back...

He had also lowered my Xanax from 60 2mg(white bar) a month to 45 1mg(blue) in Nov. Then this month he changed them to 60 .5s(peach)... I think what he has done to me is MEDICALLY ILLEGAL & I COULD GET HIS LICENSE REVOKED OR SOMETHIN IM BOUT READY TO SNAP ON HIM!!!
