In 1971 The doctor gave me a Rx for for my daughters ears. He said when she gets well don't throw it away because it's a great burn medicine. I have used it since that time for kitchen and hot glue gun burns. It is the best I've ever used. Usually prevents blisters and if it's bad enough to blister it heals in about 24 hrs. But the druggist tells me it is no longer available. If my PCP will write a prescription for it where can I take it for filling?

If your pharmacist told you it's no longer available then that's probably right. I can't find any information about it's availability but if you are in doubt please ask in another local pharmacy and if they say that it has been discontinued then that's probably right.

Thanks Marvell, but there's a lot of information on the internet for a product that has been discontinued. One article did say it had been replaced but they didn't include the name of the new product. I'm thinking the new one might also be good for burns. The hot glue gun burn that prompted the question in the first place was a really bad burn, I mean REALLY bad and the next day it wasn't even sore. I have a little red spot today but without Tympagesic it would be a huge blister.
