are they on the same drug level? are they prescribed for antidepresents, anxiety, and panic disorder? I have been off all my meds for depression/anxiety for going on 7yrs and am REALLY starting having anxiety issues again.

Xanax is in a class of meds called Benzidiazapines, used short term for panic anxiety attacks. They work well !!
Prozac is a Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitor... or SSRI, and helps with symptoms of depression.
If you are feeling anxious and depressed, please make a doc appointment asap as depression is nothing to muck about with.

Prozac is know as a SSRI (seratonin is worked on by this drug) Xanaxy is a drug that is a benzodiazapine, it is shorter acting and some people have problems with addiction to these type of medications, the best thing you can do is talk with your doctor what one medicine works for one person does not always work for another. please take care caringsonbj you can also read www. drugs.com and check and compare these medications
