I have hot flases & need to know if changing to trisprintec would be better for me than the generic for estratest? Estratest has testtosterone in them. Do I need this?

Estratest (and the generic)contain esterified estrogens and methyltestosterone.
It works by replacing some of the estrogen that is lost when the reproductive system shuts down. It combines supplemental estrogen with a synthetic form of the male hormone testosterone, and is prescribed when estrogen alone fails to relieve menopausal symptoms.
Trisprintec contains ethinyl estradiol and norgestimate is typically used as contraception to prevent pregnancy. It is also used to treat severe acne.
Your doctor is best to decide which is more appropriate for you.
