Whats the difference between fiorinal and fioricet?

Fiorinal is butalbital, aspirin and caffeine, fioricet is butalbital, acetaminophen, and caffeine.

but why is there 2 diff ingredients? is it for allergy? or because its a controlled substance? & is the fiorinal worse due to the aspirin? doesnt it cause more interactions with other meds?
