The effect Avodart will have on your condition will depend on how well your body has responded and how severe your condition is. It is impossible to predict.
This from http://www.drugs.com/pro/avodart.html#section-15.1
"Clinical studies have shown that treatment with Avodart (0.5 mg once daily) reduces the risk of BPH-related surgical intervention, improves BPH-related symptoms, decreases prostate volume, and increases maximum urinary flow rates. These data suggest that Avodart arrests the disease process of BPH in men with an enlarged prostate."
