I used to be on Cymbalta for phantom pain and it helped for 3 years. It caused profuse sweating and for some odd reason when getting off of it, I was so clammy and wet whenever I would move. It was almost more distressing feeling that way then the pain, Lyrica is really helping me although I have been on methadone for 14 years and can take oxycodone for breakthrough which for the first time in 14 years i am not getting much of. Well Not sure when it started but I would have bright red as a tomato skin on my arms and face. Would be so burning hot to the touch as soon as I was in a warm room. What others would call norm temp would send me thru the roof with my temp going up to like 100.1. I am finally for the last year not sweating my ass off but let say i go to the grocery store and push a full cart of groceries around in my wheelchair with no help in a warm store. My arms turn bright red and my face and arms are burning to the touch. I havent worn winter clothes in years.

I normally have a sleeveless shirt on under my thin jacket In Michigan in winter and this is so annoying. Don't know if this is helping but I think any side effect is possible from these psychotropic and opiate meds. Actually from any meds. The fact that you are having extreme burning, is it worse upon activity.l Whats it like when your body temperature is lower during middle of the night? What's your doctor say if anything? Lyrica has helped my pain tremendously, have you thought about trying it for fibro?
A medicine called xyrem will probably be passed by the FDA for fibro because it has something to do with the 3rd and 4Th stage of sleep and good rem sleep. Many can take lesser pain meds due to this.l I am not pro xyrem as it almost killed me in Dec. It has a black box warning and never should be prescribed when you are on Central Nervous System Depressants like pain meds, lyrica, benzo';s and many wo=ith fibro are on these. I took my prescribed dose and thankfully I didn't take it in bed like you are suppose to. My husband found me with no pulse and one respiration a minute. Was told I was toe tagged. I just got my medical records today. What's a shame is my husband grabbed everything an i had just told my pain doc I had never flushed a pill and they had accumulated over 14 years because i haven;'t taken them for the heck of it so there was a list much longer than what i am taking. I wont go into it any further. Take care. Sorry to talk about me so much
Bless you
