I am currently taking Paxil 30mg. 2 tablets at night for anxiety disorder. This has been very helpful however I still have some breakthrough anxiety that I need treatment for. I have taken in the past low doses of Ativan and Klonopin.(not at the same time) along with the Paxil. I want to get off of the benzodiazepine type meds and take something different along with the Paxil. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I thank you in advance!

Hi, i take Citalopram which have worked great for me and are an SSRI. Also Xanax are great (but they are not really prescribed in the UK which is where i am from)! It did take me about 4 weeks to get good results from the Citalopram to be honest, i had to play around with the dose, but now it works brilliantly!
