"normal", anxiety-fighting doses of Ativan range from .25 to 2mg, depending on the person and their benzo tolorance. 1mg of Ativan is roughly equilivant of 10mg valium, so your assumed dose would be a massive dose for a non-benzo-tolorant person. don't just assume your doses of drugs, it's a good way to end up in the ER (or the morgue).

buddy 8mg is a little to the extreme i take 1mg 3 times a day..it sounds like you want too be out for awhile be careful,ativan is strong

That sounds like a lot to take in one day. I take .5mg three times a day. But talk to your doctor if you think that it is too much and don't self medicate with this because like someone else said, you would end up in the ER or the morgue.

when most people start taking ativan it is 0.5 mg 3x daily im on 1mg 3x daily right not and it doesnt help i think ativan is useless
