The recommended starting acyclovir dosage for the treatment of shingles is 800mg five times a day (about every four hours) for 7 to 10 days.

As suggested it is recommended to speak to your doctor/pharmacist for more accurate & professional info, as he/she would know your medical history, hope this helps?
