What is the relative analgesic strength comparing 15mG MSIR versus Percodan when used in the?

I have something similar to you. I have ,and I know this is spelled wrong but it's Ostiomiatis,same thing,my bones deterioate I had fractured/broken C-1 C-2 vertabrae & had two operations to try & fix it. I'm mentioning this because it's similar to your situation & might help you in the future. I was on percocet before the first operation,after I was given 30mg M.S.Contin & 15 mg M.S imediate release which I later had switched to hydromorphone(dilaudid) 4mg, after the 2nd Op. When they found the bone disease. It got as high as 100mg M.S Contin 2x a day & dilaudid 4mg 4x a day,which eventually got as high as still the 2 100mg M.S Cotntin but the dilaudid was changed to 3 8mg 3x a day.I told my doctor that I got more relief from the dilaudid the morphine & just use the dilaudid,she said that's fine but she had to look up how many that would be,anyway the conversion rate is really strange.

The 2 100mg M.S Contin turned into 5 more 8mg dilaudid. I always felt they were stronger than the M.S. but didn't last as long,but I never thought it would jump up that much. So after all this I would say to be safe have your doctor do the conversion,but, as I remember it would take me probably 3 5mg percocet or percodan there both oxcycodone but one with asprin & one with tylonol,to equal one 15 I.M morphine. Everybodys different but I hope this gives you an idea of how it effected me with a similar a problem.
