What is the proper staring dosage for Depakote for a 12 yr old girl?

my daughter was attending the wilmignton health access for teens when she was 12yrs old they gave her a madicine called depakote and now she has have bad tremors and alot of bone problems should they be cause by the dosage that she recieved

The starting dosage for Depakote is 7-27 mg per lb. a day. It is suggested that this drug be taken in 1 dose before bedtime, to minimize sedative effects. But of course always follow your Dr's prescription orders on how your child should take this. Good luck! Manda
