Pt. has taken Zyprexa Zydis 15mg tid and 5 mg prn for several years. However, 3 days ago, the prescription was filled at a new pharmacy with Zyprexa 15 mg and Zyprexa 5 mgprn.
For the last 2 nights. the pt. has not slept and has had visual and auditory hallucinations and has been yelling out.
Since it is the weekend, the pharmacy which filled the prescription is closed and the ordering psychiatrist is off.
We are using the remaining Zydis 15mg tablets from the last fill but have no prn doses available. We will continue to use the Zydis through the weekend and will contact the pharmacy and MD on Monday, but I would like an answer to this question. Thank you
