I would love never to use a CPAP machine again as long as I live. It would be so awesome to sleep without a CPAP and I keep hearing about new treatments that would accomplish just that.
Are there surgical solutions to correct or treat sleep apnea that will remove the need for use of a CPAP? If so what are the newest and greatest treatments for sleep apnea?

Hey danforeman,
While the gold standard for sleep apnea is the CPAP machine, there are surgical treatments available. For a thorough article explaining the surgical possibilties go to: http://www.medicinenet.com/sleep_apnea/page8.htm
The type of surgery is very much determined by the cause of the apnea, so be sure to have a complete evaluation of your particular condition before trying surgical intervention. My sleep specialist said that the chance of surgery working is about 30%. But I suppose that this would be different depending on your specific condition.
