Percocets work to relieve my pain and roxicodone 15 don't touch it? Sounds stupid, and I don't understand the difference myself, but there has to be something. Doctor seem to perfer giving roxicodone. Percocets cost more also.

It could be because the Percocet contains acetominophen with the oxycodone while the Roxicodone is just oxycodone alone. Doctor may be concerned with the over use of acetominophen which can cause liver and kidney damage and that is why he/she is quicker to prescribe Roxicodone then Percocet.
Just my thoughts,

Percoset 10mg is not as strong as Roxicodone. Roxicodone is alot stronger than Percocet. I have a bad back and Roxicodone helped me more than Percocet. Alot of doctors will not give you Roxicodone unless you are in real bad pain and Percocets are good for pain but the doctors I have went to will tell you that Roxicodone is stronger than Percocet. If your pain is that bad I would ask him about putting me back on the Roxies.

The only difference is Percocet has Tylenol. Percocet has 5 & 10 mg of oxycodone & roxicodone has 5, 15, & 30mg of oxycodone. I prefer Percocet, but now I take 15mg roxicodone for chronic pancreatitis & it makes me feel so confused and I can't drive while taking it.
