Hey angela,
I am so sorry that your cousin has passed from a possible overdose. The oxycodone and the oxymorphone are both opiate-based narcotics prescribed for pain relief but unfortunately taken by some recreationally. If taken in high enough dose, they can cause death by stopping your breathing and heart beating.
The abuse of opiate pain relievers is a real concern and is being addressed by the government in the US. The government is trying to curtail the street trade of these medications. It is a real and serious problem.
I wish you the very best,
Laurie
