Have been on Antara for some time, but doctor just changed to Trilipix. Said it will work better, especially in light of pre-diabetes and elevated triglycerides, as well as slightly elevated cholesterol!
What is the difference between Antara and Trilipix?

Antara is a prescription medication that is used to reduce triglyceride and cholesterol levels in the body. Lowering the amount of these substances may help prevent conditions such as heart disease, angina (chest pain), strokes, and heart attacks. This drug should be used in combination with diet and exercise for the best results.
Trilipix this is a delayed release a prescription medication used for treating unhealthy cholesterol and triglyceride levels. It works to lower "bad" cholesterol (LDL cholesterol), decrease triglycerides, and increase "good" cholesterol (HDL cholesterol). Unlike other similar medications, Trilipix is approved to be used in combination with statins.
The difference perhaps is evident, for more details please do speak to the doc who changed the meds.
Take care, bets wishes!
