I have been taking it for over 12 years for severe hot flashes. i also take medroxyprogesterone 10 days a month. At 60 I am tired of having a period and am willing to suffer hot flashes. What is the best way to get off Premarin?

You should talk with your doctor about what is best for you.
You could just stop your HRT or you may wish to taper - but there is little evidence to suggest this is of any benefit.
Some people experience nothing at all once stopped while others are bombarded with withdrawal symptoms such as insomnia, mood swings, hot flashes and fatigue. Good luck.
