I have had a kidney transplant. I also have ostio-arthritis and several other medical condtions so have to be careful of drug interactions.I also need to make sure they will not damage the kidney as well. I am not allowed any anti inflammitories.

tee01, i hear you on the anti inflammitories, i was a kidney donor and cant take any due to the kidney will get damaged. i have the worse case of tmj from a broken jaw in 1989, and my dr has me on percocet 10/325. for me that really helps. let your dr know you are suffering from pain and ask for something to help with it. get better

I am certainly no expert but it seems that your doc would want you on a med that doesn't contain Acetaminophen like Percocet does. You can get the same med Oxycodone that doesn't contain anything else. I have many intestinal problems and my doc recently switched my to Fentanyl patches. Please be aware though that this med is for opiod tolerent people and is addictive. My suggestion is to talk to your doctor openly and honestly about your concerns and fears.
