... iv's iv steroids the wk before chemo then 80mg a day for 6 months to a year but then the dosage changed after 5 wks to start decreasing the 80mg of prednisone to 60mg and start cellcept 250mg at 8 a day? my husband is having terrible toruring side effects and we have't even started the cellcept. we're scared to. are we doing the right thing in trusting these doctors with his life? he's already suffered fron shingles. the cellcept sounds worse. he's 72 yrs old we don't know what is the right thing to do. will someone please help us?

will not taking the cellcept hurt him more than the risks of the side effects ? will another kidney specialist even try to take over my husbands case ? where are the best doctors that at least will talk to me ? my husbands life as he knew it may be over all i want is help making the best decisions to help him have the best and most effective treatments that will help him get as well as possible. i'm having trouble finding the best information so i can learn as much as possible .i a'm all alone as his caregiver i need help from doctors i can trust and take patients best intrest at heart.
