I have PTSD. My doctor has proscribed this for me, because I have these spasms, that they think are caused by trama. I would really like to ask the community if any one has used this drug, before I start something, I fear, getting addicted to.
What is Ryzolt( tramadol HCI ) Any side effects that are bad?

You are right to be concerned about addiction to this medication. Unfortunately Trams can be addicting and difficult to quit. I'm sorry to hear about the PTSD and spasms. There are better medications on the market used to treat spasms. This is only my opinion but so many people have posted answers and questions stating how they wished they had never started taking this med in the first place. But everyone is different and it does not mean you will have an issue with this medication. I'm only stating what I've read and heard. I would also encourage you to look up tramadol in the Drugs A to Z guide and read up on it. I hope you find relief from the spasms soon. Take care of yourself and be safe

I don't get it? Non narcotic made me think it was safe as any antidepresant?

no that is a misconception it is very addictive because it has certain properties like opiates and is quite addictive

thanks, to all of you for your help. I have been given baclofen, but it did not help. I am going back to see another G I doctor. this will be the third one! the ENT doctor things my problems are in my esophogas. More Test!

It's so good the the distinct advantage to this forum! Thanks, guys. By the way I was in excellent health, took all of the proper nutrients and even went to the gym untill two years ago. After going through Katrina, my body just broke down, into these spasms that go from the esophogus to my vocal cords. And none of these experts from mental to specialest seem to be able to find the answers. I was just fine until my 60th birthday!
Well then, all the more important to get to the bottom of this my friend. Katrina must have been a nightmare to experience. My heart goes out to you and yours. Stay strong and fight this.
