What is a 30mg kadian extended release (12 hr) capsule comparable to as far as compared to?

... hydrocodone? That is what i used to take and now I am taking 90mg in the am and 60 in the pm, (kadian) and I wondered how it compared to other pain med. mostly hydrocodone. Is there anything similar to the kadian thats extended release? The constipation with the kadian is terrible

Unfortunately constipation and opiates go hand in hand. I read up on kadian and they compared it to morphine or should I say it may be a form of morhpine.I really am not sure. Check with your doctor and get the information you need. After all, that's what they get paid for. Best of luck to you... kimmie1
