Depakote (divalproex sodium)is used to treat the manic phase of bipolar disorder (as well as epilepsy and migraine headaches.
You should not suddenly stop Depakote. It is best gradually withdrawn under doctor supervision.
Why do you want to stop Depakote? Are you feeling suicidal?
Call your doctor at once if you have any new or worsening symptoms such as: mood or behavior changes, depression, anxiety, or if you feel agitated, hostile, restless, hyperactive (mentally or physically), or have thoughts about suicide or hurting yourself.
