what if i just stop taking my remeron at once an i have been on it for a year and a half?

I wouldn't recommend stopping any medication cold-turkey without consulting the doctor first because you could trigger any number of withdrawls including seizures, insomnia, and increased psychiatric/depression symptoms. Hope this helps.
