I take Valtrex it is the same as famvir and I take it the first sign of a cold sore or mouth ulcer. It usually feels much better over night. It is usually gone completely in 1-2 days I hope you have good luck with it as I do because those sores hurt like heck and I know they would last alot longer without it.
