I took Desoxyn Gradumet for ADD for many years. Then out of the blue the mfg stopped distributing it. Dones anyone know if it has been picked up by another company?

I am not sure, but i believe that it was taken off the market. alot of those drugs with amphetamine were removed. There was also a drug with dexadrine; I think that is how you spell it. Some of this stuff now, it won't keep me awake, let alone anything it was precribed for. let me know if it works out

I believe that Abbott Laboratories were the originators of Desoxyn. It came out in 1953. In 5 , 10, and 15 mg, i swear by this drug. It helped my life so much.

yes, another company by the name of OVATION has picked up this drug,however it only comes in 5 mg taplets now.They are little round pills with the number 12 on one side and ov on the other side. I recently got a script from my Dr. The first time I got this from kmart. The dose was to small.5mg 2xday. He then told me to go up to 5mg4xday. I did that still having the first rx in hand. And they worked. The next rx my dr gave me for the 5mgx4 aday.I got them filled at the same Kmart. And it was like I was taking sugar pills.I did some checking and learned they were verry bitter to taste. I crushed one up ate it and it had no taste at all .Something went verry wrong.So be carefull there are a lot of foney things out there I'm not sure what went wrong but I am going to try and contact the company. For all I know someone at kmart did something.I to took desoxyn 20 years ago.

Charlyecc, you are correct. I started taking desoxyn in 1998. The doctor wrote the prescription for the 10mg. tablets when the pharmicist looked at the script he told me that they had taken the 10mg and 15mg granulets taken off the market, and now the 5mg ir is the only form of desoxyn that is being sold. I had to go back and the doctor had to write me another script. I moved to las vegas and the doctors were pushing adderall down my throat, and when i moved back east the doctors were doing the same. This is why drug compaines make so many different kinds of the same drug, stimulants, opiates benso's, etc... it's pharmodynamics , everyones body breaks down chemicals differently.
