my comment was someone speaking about the time release, that got changed with oxycontin, starting on the first of jan. man you can od on anything if you abuse it! I'm close to become a dr. is rather a town of 24k. not big, but i will move when i get planted better. Anyway, down to the point. I take care of my 90 year old grandfather, that has extreme arthritus, and the only pill that has worked for him are immidate release or 20 mg immediate release roxicode. Now from what i've been reading and hearing at school, Everything is going to be buffered. I've tried those with me gpa and they just don't simply work as welll, I mean the guy is 90 years old and is dying with arthritus and can barely move.I guess all and all, Im just really upset, that just cause of a few people that have o'd on slamming them, but someone is going find anyway to die using drugs eventually. and if you dont, consider yourself lucky. i've lost 4 friends in the last 2 years.

I just cant believe oxycontin is going from a usefull medication to some generic form. I hope they fight and win. there is a use for the name brand. it works so much better! sorry it was so long of a message, i just neede to vent. and i'm not going to read back over, so if sentences sont make sense and etc. i'm sorry. just a little upset. when actually someone needs them and cant. D
I sure can sympathize with you. It's especially bad when the elderly are affected. But the OP is not the generic for the OC. It will not be less expensive at the pharmacy. That makes it even worse. They took a good medication and changed the formula to keep people from dying. Then produce the same pill that takes longer to work so people take more thinking they aren't working and die anyway. Now that is sick irony. Like I said, Purdue has a big problem on their hands. I hope your grandfather has decent pain control. Thanks for posting.
