I know this medication can be dangerous to your kidneys and has cancer potential for certain individuals as it is, so I want to be very careful. The instructions with the prescription say that you should avoid alcohol because it can increase certain side-effects. What I'd like to know is which side effects? Since I've been prescribed the medication for an off label use (acne caused by PCOS) do I need to be concerned having a glass or two of wine? Or is it going to totally damage my kidneys and liver? I'd like to know which side effects are increased by mixing alcohol and the medicine.
