My son is on Doryx, using desonide cream, and an oral med for the itching. What can we do to help him? The Dermatologist says he has acne and contact Dermatitis but the has been going on for several months now. Nothing is helping him. His face looks worse then ever and he is in high school so this hs to be very embarrassing for him. Please help us!

I too am on Dorxy & Desonide. I'm 30 yrs old and ALWAYS had beautiful skin until recently. I have been using Desonide lotion for yrs b/c I have dry/normal skin. My new dermatologist has taken me off the Desonide and informs it has the potential to cause acne. This pass week, I was given a RX for a sulfur wash & benzoyl peroxide. I have noticed my face to itch a lot & bumps now appearing where they weren't before and I think it's the sulfur wash. I would recommend him coming off the Desonide and getting an OTC mosturizer such as Estee Lauder or Clinque as I plan to do the same to see if that will provide some relief
