My son was prescribed rondec dm for a cold, but it doesnt seem to be doing anything, he has been coughing for an hour straight after taking a dose an two hours ago. He seems to cough more immediatley following a dose.

You probably need to contact his doctor if the Rondec DM isn't relieving the cough, it contains Chlorpheniramine, Dextromethorphan and Phenylephrine - which are all OTC meds contained in OTC cough suppressants. He may need something prescription that's a different drug that's a little more potent. Good luck.
