The side effects you experience from Zoloft may be attributable to the dosage you're taking. WebMD provides a great resource for information about various drug uses, side effects, and questions to discuss with your doctor. Since I was not taking it for depression, I started with one 5 mg pill per day, then 10 mg; both are considered low doses. The negative effects I experienced were more of being in a fog - VERY different from vertigo. When I stopped taking it after 2 years, the side effects from withdrawals were similar to what you've described. Side effects are not normal; it sounds like you need to talk with your doctor/nurse to make sure Zoloft is the right drug for you, or if your dose should be adjusted. Good luck!

Nacho88,
Like the above post says, side effects do happen but they aren't intended. Tremors and dizziness are known possible side effects of Zoloft so I would mention it to your prescriber. He/she may want to put you on something else. Good luck and I hope you get to feeling better.

Side effects cannot be anticipated. If any develop or change in intensity, inform your doctor as soon as possible. Only your doctor can determine if it is safe for you to continue taking Zoloft.
* Side effects may include:
Abdominal pain, agitation, anxiety, constipation, decreased sex drive, diarrhea or loose stools, difficulty with ejaculation, DIZZINESS, dry mouth, fatigue, gas, headache, decreased appetite, increased sweating, indigestion, insomnia, nausea, nervousness, pain, rash, sleepiness, sore throat, tingling or pins and needles, TREMOR, vision problems, vomiting
Many people lose a pound or two of body weight while taking Zoloft. This usually poses no problem but may be a concern if your depression has already caused you to lose a great deal of weight.
In a few people, Zoloft may trigger the grandiose, inappropriate, out-of-control behavior called mania or the similar, but less dramatic, "hyper" state called hypomania.

Hi nacho88
My first question is the dosage. I was on 25mg once a day. I had the worst heartburn I have ever had. It was so bad I had to go off of it within 3 days.
* Abdominal pain, headache, or sore throat
* Anxiety, agitation, fatigue, insomnia, sleepiness, nervousness
* Constipation, diarrhea, nausea, gas, bloating, indigestion
* Tremors, pins and needles, or tingling in the hands or feet
* Decreased sex drive
Side effects also experienced are above. Great question. Let me know how you're making out with this ok?
Peace
