What are the current generics available in place of brand name Dexedrine Spansules, 15 mg x's 3?

I have used Dexedrine tablets for 13+ yrs., but in the instant acting form, orange tablets. I believe brand name Dexedrine was originally made by GlaxoSmithKline, but the patent expired. Apparently, Glaxo sold the rights to manufacture brand name to Core Pharma. However, there are other brand names: Dextrostat (Shire Richwood Inc.), LiquADD and ProCentra. These will, most likely, charge just as much because they are "brand name". Some of the generic manufacturers are: Barr Pharmaceuticals, KV Pharmaceuticals, and Mallinckrodt Inc. Just have the Dr. write out the Rx. for Dextroamphetamine (Sulfate), and tick the box (may substitute). That is the generic name, and hopefully the Pharmacist will not try to pull a fast one by substituting another brand name, which would cost brand name amount. Ask for a generic of the Dextroamphetamine! I think I get mine from Barr. But, I've been told that all generics supplied are made in both tablets: 5, 10, 15 mgs.

AND spansules: 5, 10, 15 mgs. I get a 90 day supply, and Medicare Medical (Medicaid) charges either $3.30, or $1.10 or are free, depending on whether my deductible is met!! Wow, I'm very grateful for this and my other meds. It is a life saver! BTW, larger supplies (30 vs. 90 day supplies are almost always cheaper... larger quantities). Good Luck!
