I just received my adipex prescription today and I am going to start taking it in the morning but I was hoping someone can tell me what the best foods are to eat while I am taking it. I have been on a no carb diet for a year now and I seem to be gaining a lot of weight. I am 218lbs now and I am hoping with this adipex I can at least drop 30lbs. My doctor only gave me a 30 day script because he is so against this medication. I begged him for it for 3 months before I finally got it. He told me to split my pills in half to make them last 60 days. Will they still work as well if I split them? Any advise would be appreciated.. Thanks so much... Midwest_DIva

Hello Midwest Diva. Adipex is meant to be taken for the short term only. Reason being that the longer a person is on the drug, the less effective it is. The norm is three weekss and then the drug is stopped. A high dose does not mean its going to work any better than a low one. Due to side effects, most people prefer to stay on a lower dose. Thats another reason why your doctor chose not to prescibe it for any longer than the thirty days. As to diet, fruits, vegetables, soups etc. Regards and good luck on the drug, I hope you do well, pledge
