I just received my adipex prescription today and I am going to start taking it in the morning but I was hoping someone can tell me what the best foods are to eat while I am taking it. I have been on a no carb diet for a year now and I seem to be gaining a lot of weight. I am 218lbs now and I am hoping with this adipex I can at least drop 30lbs. My doctor only gave me a 30 day script because he is so against this medication. I begged him for it for 3 months before I finally got it. He told me to split my pills in half to make them last 60 days. Will they still work as well if I split them? Any advise would be appreciated.. Thanks so much... Midwest_DIva

Hello Midwest Diva. Adipex is meant to be taken for the short term only. Reason being that the longer a person is on the drug, the less effective it is. The norm is three weekss and then the drug is stopped. A high dose does not mean its going to work any better than a low one. Due to side effects, most people prefer to stay on a lower dose. Thats another reason why your doctor chose not to prescibe it for any longer than the thirty days.
