I just looked up Diamox and it says medications such as lithium interfere. My boyfriend is on lithium for bipolar and I know it has been used for depression. According to the medical information your Diamox works by breaking down specific proteins and in doing this can break down the lithium naturally occuring in you blood which possibly could be the initial cause of your depression. I do not know if this is the case, but get your levels checked and if all else fails set up another appointment. Good luck :)

Escitalopram 30mg in major depression?
A patient with major depression can be treated with escitalopram 30 mg daily taken before sleep

lithium isn't normaly used as a treatment for depression. Lithium's theraputic dose is extreamly close to the toxic dose. plus it's very hard on the liver over time but it works well with bipolar for the simple fact that it regulates all the neurotransmitters so it accounts for manic and depressive phases.
Thank you, any info is greatly appreciated at the moment. I will keep it in mind. I have just recently had all my levels checked and all came back perfect. So doc has put me on edronax.
