I would explain to your Oncologist that you sometimes would love to have a drink. Find out if this is a problem and how much you can have. It might even depend what stage you are and how much you take. This is a real complex problem.
I am so sorry about what you are going through, My mother had cancer and I had a cancer scare. So I do understand. Just remember faith *can* move mountains.
