um if your trying to lose weight then you dont drink alcohol. its full of sugars and calories. If you want to take a pill to lose weight you need to match this with a change in diet and exercise in my opinion. also if your not morbidly obese (this discludes just being obease) i see no reason to be on a medication to lose weight since there are other things a person can do to lose weight (my opinion is if you just take the meds you will put the weight back on unless you make the dietary and physical activity changes and engrain them into your daily schedual)
