Hey JDA,
I am not fimiliar with the use of periactin for weight gain. There are some drug interactions with the periactin that you need to be aware of. I have plugged your medications into the interaction checker:
http://www.drugs.com/interactions-check.php?drug_list=1488-899,2019-1305,2057-1348
Based on the drug interactions, use caution when taking periactin and only under the care of a doctor that is aware of all of your medications including vitamins and supplements.

Unfortunately the link I sent you doesn't seem to be working for some reason. You can do the check yourself by clicking on the interactions checker above in the blue tool bar. Clicking "I Agree" and then adding your medications to make a list. Then click "check interactions". Sorry, I'm not sure why my link isn't working. Hope this helps.

Hi JDA and LaurieShav. I'm new at this forums. I feel like a failure, here I am 160 lbs I'm so ashamed. I used to weigh 115. I started to gain weight in 2009, but it wasn't a whole lot it just gradually. I started to take Lyrica at a low dose then my family doctor increased. A couple months went by I weighed 145 lb

I'm not on any special diet. I want to lose some weight but I don't know how? I'm going to ask my doctor about this. Any suggestions?

I recommend a low carb, high protein diet. I would venture to guess that it is the Lyrica that is helping to cause the weight gain as it is notorious for this.
