hudson17Effexor XR at 150 mg after 3 weeks has worsened my anxiety and panic disorder causing dizziness with adrenaline surges. Will start weaning off tomorrow over a course of 3 weeks with an SSRI low dose and increase that slowly during effexor wean. Effexor has been a living nightmare for me and cannot wait to get it out of my system.

Laurie is absolutely correct. My doc once asked me to go off cold turkey for 1 week to see if the effexor was causing my dizziness. It was horrible. You be very careful about weaning off, take it slow, Yes it is unfortunately very hard to find the right anxiety drug because we all have very different chemical make ups. I wish you well.

Md wants to try Zoloft. I have been on lexapro but seemed to stop working. Also I am on xr Xanax twice a day. As I wean effexor I slowly increase Zoloft.

i cant do zoloft, it raises my anxiety. thanks for the response keep us posted. I was thinking paxil, we will see.
