The cause of your fluid retention will determine what treatment is best for you. There are many drugs to choose from. Your doctor is trained to find the correct medication for you. You should follow his / her advice.
Torsemide is a diuretic and helps reduce swelling by promoting urine production.
Atorvastatin (Lipitor) is a cholesterol-lowering medication.
