My mother walked down the aisle wearing a house shoe because she had just had the plantar wart removed. In childhood at 5 my sweet family doctor scooped a huge hole out
of my foot to get the wart out, but it came back. I'm just worried. I have heard warts can cause cancer or are related to the cancer causing cells?

Warts are small, usually painless growths on the skin caused by a virus. They are generally harmless. However, warts can be disfiguring and embarrassing, and occasionally they itch or hurt (particularly on the feet).
Warts are generally harmless growths that often go away on their own within two years
Possible complications include spread of warts , return of warts that disappeared, minor scar formation if the wart is removed and formation of keloids after removal .
Warts do not lead to cancer and they are not a serious medical problem. See your doctor if you are still concerned.
