I went off Vivelle Dot 0.1 in Nov.2011, because I lost my job. The sweats were and are still horrible! I just got a new prescription of the same thing and have had it on for 2 days. When will the sweats stop? Oh yea, I was on them to begin with due to total hysterectomy.
Vivelle-Dot - how long does it take to stop the sweats?

In general, you can expect relief from your symptoms fairly quickly. You may begin to feel relief from hot flashes in 1 to 3 weeks.
Hot flashes and night sweats are likely to become less frequent and intense. This trend in improvement should continue over time.
Relief from vaginal symptoms—dryness, burning, and itching—may take 3 weeks.
If after 6 to 8 weeks you are feeling no improvement in your symptoms you should see your doctor.
