Vitamin D Deficiency - What is the next step when I take 4,000 of D-3 and I am still very low ?

Dr. has started me on 1,000 to 3,000 and now 4,000 iu for 6 weeks and i am still low at 22.5 I am scared cause that can cause many other problems !!! Not only do I have that problem, I also have systemic Lupus,fibromyalgia and rhematiod arthritis to name a few. I would appreciate any suggestions or answers Thank you !

Almost everyone who lives in a temperate climate has a low vitamin D level. Your dr can keep upping it until you get to normal. Until your level is normal, you can take alot of vit D.
