Does anyone know if Humana covers victoza? I have been on samples for 2 weeks and my kidneys are starting to hurt. I also have what feels like nerve pain in my left foot on the bottom. Anyone have anything like this happening?

I have been using Victoza for 4 months now, and the results have been great. Lowered Glucose to 90 -120 from 140 - 170. Lost 20 lbs. Reduced my appetite. Humana lists this a covered drug. However it requires a Prior Authorization. Then they will deny it. The Rules they apply will cause any Type II diabetic to be denied coverage.
With That said, I will be dropping Humana and check with each provider about coverage. I have been ridiculously hassled by Humana. Rejecting my physician's PA is unacceptable. Clearly they are in the cost game.
I would urge you to drop Humana, unless you need them.
