For those of u who took vicodin and had a urine test, wondering how it went. I have (thankfully) been clean for about 2 weeks now. Tramadol helped A LOT with restlestness and body aches. But im was considering taking just 1 10mg tab. I am on probation now so thats why i ceased in the first place. But my question is, how long would just 1 dose stay in my system? Thanks

Dear MsUsa, I am not sure exactly how long you will be positive for tramadol, probably the same as with an opiate, between 3 and 8 days after last use. Are you aware that tramadol is an opoid, just one small click off of and opiate? I am not trying to scare you, just make you aware that it is addictive also, despite what some drs say about it. It likely did take the edge off the opiate withdrawal because it is an opoid. When people take tramadol for a while and stop it suddenly, it can cause seizures. It is an opoid that also has ssri properties. Just want you to be aware of potential problems that could crop up, you still may also have opiate withdrawal when you stop the tramadol, I hope not, but fear you will. Since you are on probation, if you have an rx for the tramadol, bring that proof with you if you have to test soon. If you don't, you might want to get a legal rx so you won't be in violation for positive drug test. Best of luck, patti
