- I have had 2 episodes of v-fib. I had the first one when I was 43 ,second... when i was 44. I just turned 51. The second time my heart went into v-fib i was shocked 7 times and put on amiodarone. Since all of this has happened I have alot of symptoms that no one I know can relate to. Anxiety, depression, fluttery heart, daily I feel shakey, disoriented. My blood pressure is not stable, my ankles swell, I fear everything. If i over exert myself my whole body shakes. I have tried to get disability but was denied twice. Can anyone else out there relate to any of this

I personally have not had V-Fib, but my brother has (he is 72). All of the symptoms you describe are things he also experiences. His doctor thinks it is related to the meds he is taking and is trying to find one or a combination of meds that will work to stabilize everything. His hands shake severely and at times he seems to "zone out". He is always depressed and has a shorter fuse than usual, but I think he is just worried about what is going on with his heart. Regarding the SSDI, you might consider hiring an attorney. For social security cases, they do the cases on a contingency basis. If they don't win, you pay nothing. If they do win, they get a portion of the retroactive benefits you are given. That's how I did it, and got approved.

I have A fib and been on Amiodarone since 2006 when the A fib lead to cogestive heart failure. I would have cardiversion to correct rhythm which would last 4-12 months. Have had 6 cardioversions. I have similar side effects but not about fearing things. I know I have ADD, can't concentrate, got asthma(never smoked) lazy, tired, shortness of breath, don't sleep well to add to yours. I belive it cause of AMIODARONE and would love to try new med. I truly understand your comments, people just blow it off. I used to be very hyper, alert and now I'm a turtle. Good luck.
