Hi I know what a pain that is, every woman gets that once in a while, you should go see your obgyn so he or she can rule out other problems that could be causing it but if thats out of the question you can go to the pharmacy and buy something made for yeast infections like monistat, that works great follow the directions on the box. I always buy the one dose pack it's easier. I hope you feel better. Kelly

You may actually have more than one infection going on here. Candida (or yeast) is usually not very smelly. Bacterial infections often are. The itching can be caused by either. Cottage cheese like discharge certainly sounds like Candida so you may have more than one organism giving you problems. This one is probably best cleared up by a professional. I would advise an appt with your gynocologist asap. Ibuprofen might make you feel a little better but it wont help an infection. You need special medications for this.
